How do you feel the squad are shaping up heading into the New Year?
We found ourselves in a difficult position at the beginning of the season and we needed to start winning, there were a lot of questions being asked about the team and the strength of it and we have answered those questions. Now we need to keep improving and keep that focus and remind ourselves that we are not the finished article yet and we have got to keep our standards high as we push towards the Play Offs because everybody is improving and working hard to achieve promotion so we need to make sure that we are doing the little things differently and better to make sure we are the ones with the best chance at the end of the season. As we look forward to the New Year there is a real air of confidence that if we can keep our focus and standards high that we can keep progressing and really challenge at the end of the season.
What qualities will George Ford bring to Leeds Carnegie?
We are looking forward to George being involved in our squad going forward. He is an outstanding talent and has great ability and is a game breaker. He can beat players and make things happen and also he is a team player so he can organise and orchestrate your attack and defence and make sure everyone is at the top of their game and he maintains really high standards and as an individual he has great leadership qualities, even as a young man. He is an outstanding threat with the ball in hand and as a tactician as well, so it is a major signing for us. He has had limited game time at 12 but the way our style is allows 10 and 12 to be interchangeable with the way we try to use them as two pivots so he will interchange with Joe and will swap positions and will give us good direction on outside edges and good organisation.
