The renovation is a vital part of keeping the pitch in top condition throughout the whole year and Booth says the team have been blessed with good weather, he commented, "The work has gone really well. We were a bit concerned on Monday with the rain that was expected but we have had a great day today and have been able to crack on. In total we will be putting 60 tonnes of medium grade sand on the pitch. This helps to level the pitch after a long year. On Monday we reseeded the pitch and then half the sand goes on to cover the seed to prevent the birds from getting at it and we then put the other half on as a top dressing. The pitch will be in great condition for our next home game against Castleford and the work we do now stands us in good stead for the Winter and the Carnegei season and coming out the other side in good condition for the start of next season with the Rhinos."
