Tuesday afternoon and the boys were back to the grind... well not all of them as we were still missing the English trio of Paul Hill, Jack Walker and Lewis Boyce and the sole Swede of Max Green as they were given a couple days to rest from their adventures in Grenoble, France.
For the forwards the morning was different to what we are used to, a quick 30 minute gym session with Jonesy and then straight on to the paddock to run as the opposition for the first team in their lineout practice. We would run as Moseley's lineout for the first team to try to compete and defend as some practice for their game at the weekend.
Although we did not pitch up to our usual standards the experience was still that of a good one and I'm sure each of us managed to take away something we could learn from the session. It is something that was very helpful to measure ourselves against the first team and see how far, or not far away, we are from their standards and it is something that we would love to do again in the future.
Thursday was welcomed with the return of Hillroy, Boyce and Max, however Waka was not to grace us with his presence due to the fact that he had broken his hand prior to the FIRA tournament and had played with it knowing that surgery waited for him on his return to England. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can grace us with his presence on the pitch soon.
Thursday consisted of listening to Hilly bang on about his try (which can be seen below) and how good he is, but it was good to have him back.
Next Wednesday is the "all or nothing" game for Prince Henry's vs Oakland's at Allianz Park with the winner progressing to the AASE semi finals!
