Leeds Carnegie take on Gala in the British and Irish Cup on Sunday at York RUFC. Also in York on Sunday is the Yorkshire Marathon (in aid of the Jane Tomlinson Fund).
The route goes from the City Centre out on the east side of town through Heslington towards Stamford Bridge and back. The race starts at 9:30 and obviously finishers will be arriving back to the centre of town from around 11:45 until late in the afternoon.
The York club is actually on the other side of town on the A19 Shipton Road. On the day this will best be accessed from either the outer ring road (A1237) from the North West of the ground of by taking the A59 (Knaresborough Road) into towards town and then turning left onto Water End and over the bridge into Clifton and turning left again onto the A19.
The ring road (A1237) spurs off the A64 near Askham Bryan at Pike Hills Golf Course and you will be heading towards Clifton Moor (which is always busy).
