Manchester-born James Flynn was one of Carnegie's first signings ahead of the 2018-19 season. The former Stockport Grammar pupil played at Sale Sharks for seven seasons, amassing 55 appearances after making his debut against London Irish in 2012.
He also had brief loans at Stockport and Sedgley Park and fought back to full fitness at the end of the 2017-18 season and has played for England Clubs and Schools U18s.
The most memorable game he has played in was when he made his Premiership debut against Northampton in 2012. He credits his mum with having the biggest influence on his career at it was her idea for him to play rugby.
If he could interview anyone famous it would be Robert Downey Jr to ask him what it's like to be Iron Man. In a movie about his life he thinks Seth Rogen would be the best person to star as him, the genre would be action, his leading woman would be Margot Robbie, the theme tune would be 'Now we are Free' and his arch enemy would be played by Mads Mikkelson.
