In 2019 the former Leeds Rhinos winger and full back, who won three Super League titles in successive years with his home-town club from 2007-09 and played for England in the 2008 World Cup, joined a rare group of players to have played league and union at the famous stadium.  He made his debut on the opening day of the season against Nottingham in the RFU Championship Cup.

Smith, 33, also had spells at Wakefield Trinity, Leigh Centurions and Bradford Bulls as well as playing union with Wasps and Newcastle.

He helped Leigh and Bradford win promotion to Super League and played for England RL in 2006, 2008 and 2009.

His first rugby memory is playing in the freezing cold for Morley RUFC and his most memorable rugby moment was playing for England.  He credits Tony Smith as having the biggest influence on his career.

If he could interview any famous person is would be Paul Gascoigne and if he could be any historical figure it would be Winston Churchill.
